Once BricsCAD is installed you can set the trial version from inside BricsCAD with the SETLICENSELEVEL command. A restart is required.

The minimum system requirements for BricsCAD are:

- __Processor__: The CPU with the highest single-thread performance rating will always excel with BricsCAD®.

- __RAM__: At least 8 GB of memory, 16 GB or more, is recommended for larger or more complex drawings.

- __Hard Drive__: At least 3 GB of free hard drive space.

- __Display__: Monitor with a minimum resolution of Full HD (1920x1080).

- __Graphics Card__: Video card with DirectX 9 or higher compatibility.

- __Internet connection__: A stable Internet connection and some additional features are required for activation.

It's important to note that these are the minimum requirements and may vary depending on the complexity of your drawings and the other applications you have running on your system. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to have a more robust design with a fast processor, more memory, and a dedicated graphics card.

How can I upgrade to the latest version of BricsCAD?

Accepted Answer

If you have BricsCAD Maintenance, you can [download the latest version of BricsCAD](https://www.bricsys.com/store/bricscad "BricsCAD store") without buying a new license. [Log in](https://boa.bricsys.com/protected/account/licenses) to the Bricsys site, go to the download section, select the latest version, and you'll see your new CAD download. If you don't have BricsCAD Maintenance, you can buy the latest BricsCAD version via the Bricsys e-store - log in, choose the latest BricsCAD version, and complete your payment.

How do I download a free 30-day trial of BricsCAD?

Accepted Answer

When you download the BricsCAD installer for the first time, you will have the ability to start a BricsCAD trial version in the BricsCAD launcher. After 30 days, this trial will end. The launcher will ask you to insert a valid license key. You do not need to reinstall BricsCAD.

Can I buy a BricsCAD license for older versions?

Accepted Answer

You can only buy a BricsCAD license for the most recent BricsCAD version. However, this license can be used on previous versions of BricsCAD no older than V14.

How do I transfer my license to another computer?

Accepted Answer

To move a single license to another computer (license can be transferred between Mac and PC):
1.	First, deactivate your license on the old computer.
2.	Once the license is deactivated, you can activate it again on another computer.

I get an error when trying to run the BricsCAD installer for Mac. How should I proceed?

Accepted Answer

To install and run BricsCAD on macOS 10.15,  you need to explicitly select "Open Anyway". This option is available via System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General, or when using a right-click to open the application.

Can I trial a BricsCAD Network license?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a 30-day trial of a BricsCAD Network license is available upon request. Please [contact us](https://www.bricsys.com/contact-sales "Contact Bricsys Sales") or [your local partner](https://www.bricsys.com/find-local-reseller "Find your Bricsys Reseller") directly for assistance.
Please note that Network licenses require the setup and management of a local License Server, which should be administered by a qualified Network or System Administrator.
