How to change your CADprofi Configuration to BricsCAD
Your CADprofi license is not restricted to a single CAD platform. If you choose to change your CAD platform, for example from AutoCAD to BricsCAD, you can still work on CADprofi easily!
The process is quite simple:
- After you have installed BricsCAD on your computer switch on the CADprofi Configuration program.
- Select BricsCAD as your chosen CAD platform and choose one of the 29 available languages:
English, Bulgarian, Chinese Simplified, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish or Ukrainian. - Click the Configure CAD button and you are set!
How to Install CADprofi on a New Computer
CADprofi software possesses a very convenient editor for creating user symbols and objects. You have the option to add your own translations or to change the terminology. Additionally, you can define a list of "favorites". These features allow you to work in accordance with your own habits and preferences.
If you decide to change, not only, your CAD platform but also to change your system (either by buying the new computer or by performing a factory reset) you should first backup your CADprofi data. Copy the UserData folder (located in the main CADprofi folder) and the Working_symbols and Working_folder and Working_parametrics (located in the Producers folder) to the new computer.
When you buy CADprofi you will receive a free year's subscription of additional benefits. This will allow you to download new updates free of charge and gives you the possibility to install CADprofi on two computers (e.g. your office computer and home notebook) allowing you greater flexibility. If you wish to change your system or move your license you should always remove the license from the current computer first.
To remove your CADprofi license from a computer:
- In the CADprofi -- About command, open the Activation and registration dialog window*.*
- Right-click on the serial number.
- Select the Remove option from the pop-up menu.
- You can now activate your serial number on a new computer or operating system.
