The Herzogenrath City Development Company (SEH) is owned and operated by the German city of Herzogenrath. SEH handles the city’s economic and urban development, coordinating construction for businesses, industrial sites and tech-oriented facilities aimed at boosting the local economy. The Challenge
Herzogenrath has around 47,000 inhabitants and is rapidly changing as local authorities work to transform the former mining town into a tech-oriented hub for businesses. Most recently, SEH has been redeveloping a former industrial site near a semi-residential area.
It’s crucial for smaller cities like Herzogenrath to closely optimize the costs involved in their urban development.
