My BricsCAD® free trial has expired. What do I need to do to buy BricsCAD®?
The BricsCAD free trial gives you full access to BricsCAD Ultimate for 30 days. That means that all the features of BricsCAD Shape, Classic, Pro, Platinum, BIM, and Mechanical are yours to use, free of charge.
After thirty days, the trial expires and will continue to run as BricsCAD Shape, our free solid modeling product, forever.
How to make BricsCAD your own? Just buy a license, re-launch the trial product, enter your key in the License Manager, and your trial install will be activated as a commercial product. It’s that easy. There’s no need to uninstall and reinstall, ever.
What do you mean by “perpetual” licenses?
A BricsCAD license gives you lifetime access to the BricsCAD software without monthly or yearly fees. The product activation key authorizes its owner to use a specific version of BricsCAD for as long as their PC and/or operating system supports it.
Why should I consider paying for BricsCAD® Maintenance?
BricsCAD Maintenance is the least expensive way to stay up to date with the BricsCAD releases, giving you the latest features and functionality. Maintenance customers get access to all product upgrades, Bricsys 24/7® for design teams, and priority support for one yearly fee. Read more
What happens if I don’t renew my Maintenance contract?
If for any reason you don’t renew your Maintenance contract at the end of the period, your current BricsCAD version will continue to run for as long as your PC and/or operating system supports it.
If you decide that you want to upgrade licenses that are not on Maintenance, just log in to your BricsCAD account and check out your upgrade options.
I have an older version of BricsCAD®. How can I upgrade my license?
Go to bricsys.com, log in to your Bricsys account, and navigate to “Your licenses”. There, you’ll see what you own today and your upgrade options.
What is a BricsCAD® Network License?
A network license allows many users on the same TCP/IP network to access a shared pool of product licenses. BricsCAD uses the Reprise NLM (Network License Manager). It is installed on a central server and controls the distribution of the license pool.
What is a BricsCAD® Volume License?
A volume license is a single license key that is authorized to be used across a number of independent computers. Volume licenses are designed to assist CAD and IT administrators deploy BricsCAD to large numbers of computers that may or may not be on the same network.
Are BricsCAD® prices the same everywhere?
BricsCAD is sold in over 80 countries. Product pricing, availability, and promotional considerations are specific to countries and/or regions. Your BricsCAD license is usable anywhere across the globe.

Can I get a free academic license as a student or a teacher?
Students, instructors, and schools can request a one-year BricsCAD Ultimate license(s) for no charge. Students can renew their free licenses for as long as they are enrolled in an accredited academic program. More info
