Bricscad V9 has a full blown application development environment, allowing to port AutoCAD® based applications to Bricscad and run them with the same source code. It gives the application developer tremendous freedom and independence. No one likes to be limited by just one platform.

Founding member of the ODA

Bricsys is founding member of the ODA (Open Design Alliance) and has access to the source code of the ODA libraries. Bricsys development team is one of the main test teams of the ODA libraries and works closely with the ODA development team. Bricscad V9 is based on the latest DWG direct libraries of the ODA which allows e.g. native support of the AutoCAD® 2009 format, Unicode support, etc.

The Bricsys development team has an extended section with dedicated developers for the different development environments (LISP, COM, ADS, ARX). There is day to day support for application developers who need assistance porting applications to Bricscad V9 or simply require technical information about the porting process and the possibilities.

Worldwide presence

Bricsys is one of the fastest international growing companies in the DWG environment - excluding AutoDesk (we have to be honest about that). This is mainly due to our presence in over 70 countries. Bricsys has been very successful in setting up a very internationally oriented sales organization and opens this channel for applications based on Bricscad V9. Some of the applications are regional and will be made available in the countries and regions concerned. Many of the applications that are close to release are international (English) and can be distributed in all Bricsys regions.
